We take your privacy very seriously. At UNOPS we collect and manage user data according to the following Privacy Policy.


Data Collected

We collect and use the following information to provide, improve and protect our Services:


Account. We collect, and associate with your account, information like your name, email address, phone number, payment info, physical address, and account activity.


Services. Our Services are designed to make it simple for you to share your data, collaborate with others, and work across multiple devices. To make that possible, we store, process, and transmit your data as well as information related to it. This related information can be things like your profile information that makes it easier to collaborate and share your data with others. Our Services provide you with different options for sharing your data. You may choose to send messages, and invite others to use the Services. If you do, we’ll store those contacts on our servers for you to use.


Usage. We collect information related to how you use the Services, including actions you take in your account (like sharing, editing, viewing, and moving forms or data). This helps us provide you with features.


We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, the web page you visited before coming to our sites, and identifiers associated with your devices. Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services.


Cookies and other technologies. We use technologies like cookies to provide, improve, protect and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Services, and improving them based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.


You are able to view, change and remove your data associated with your profile. If you wish to delete your account use the tools in account management or contact us at, and we will help you in this regard as quickly as possible. 


Sharing Data

We may share information as discussed below, but we won’t sell it to advertisers or other third parties.


Others working for UNOPS. UNOPS uses certain trusted third parties (for example, providers of customer support, IT services,) to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services. These third parties will access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf in compliance with this Privacy Policy, and we’ll remain responsible for their handling of your information per our instructions.


Other users. Our Services display information like your name, and email address to other users in places like your user profile and sharing notifications. When you register your FieldSight account with an email address on a domain owned by your employer or organization, we may help collaborators find you and your team by making some of your basic information—like your name, organization name, and email address—visible to other users on the same domain. This helps us allow organizations to share tech support information, and other information.

Certain features let you make additional information available to others.


Other applications. You can also give third parties access to your information and account. Just remember that their use of your information will be governed by their privacy policies and terms.

User Accounts. If you are a FieldSight user who accepted an invitation from a FieldSight team, other users in the team may have the ability to access and control some of data. Please refer to your organization’s internal policies if you have questions about this.


Disclosure of information. We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with UNOPS rules, regulations, policies and procedures; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of FieldSight or our users; or (d) protect UNOPS property rights.


Using Data

You retain ownership of the data. We will never share your data, unless granted permission by you, and will only use it in the following ways.


To provide, maintain and update the Services. We may use the data collected to provide, maintain, or update FieldSight and related services. This includes use of data and information to support delivery of the Services under the Terms of Use, prevent or address service errors, security or technical issues, analyze and monitor usage, trends and other activities or at an Authorized User’s request.


To create analytics and learning products. Data and information may be used to create analytics for distribution through the Services and other products or services reasonably related to the Services, provided that the Customer Data and usage information are not identifiable and may not be readily extracted from any analytics so distributed.


As expressly permitted in writing by Customer. Customer represents and warrants that it has secured all rights in and to Customer Data from its Authorized Users as may be necessary to grant this license.

Android app and Google Play Store

If you choose to download our FieldSight app from the Google Playstore or Apple App Store, the number of downloads and the types of installation are compiled into aggregated usage statistics. If you choose to, anonymous crash reports will be sent and aggregated and made available to us. These reports do NOT contain any information from your surveys or any data related to them.   


The FieldSight Mobile App requires access to the camera, recording device, and GPS sensors. All of this is solely in order to respond to survey questions (in case you include GPS questions, want to record videos, take pictures, or record sound with your device). As intended for the survey process, this data will be submitted to our servers and made available to you for download and analysis. 


Protecting Your Data

UNOPS is committed to protecting the data you entrust to us. We employ industry standard best practices (both technical and administrative) to protect against unauthorized access of your data. We cannot guarantee, however, its absolute security. To protect from loss of data, we do frequent system and incremental backups which are stored encrypted in various locations.

To further protect your data, we encourage you never to share your login information and to change your passwords regularly.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here or by means of a notice on our homepage so that you are aware of any changes with relation to what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
